untitled (4/30/93)

as your whimpering skeleton
misjudges the degree of my arch,
i stumble upon your flower
giving a dream
that only midsummer blue dust cowboys have.
blaring waving disenchanted orchestras
serve the wicked armies
in the distance.
and in red, the faeries chant before us.
whispering to ourselves
distress signals of love and secret carcasses.
as we dream,
our souls will match colours,
fluttering above the sunrise.
i cannot help but think
that we are now,
momentarily,
in liquid-tongued frothy electric heaven,
with all its lovely and shimmering baboons.
we are now a single daydream
on a plateau of fire.
